Heat loss minimized hydrogen extractor
NOx-suppressing ammonia cracker
Hydrogen Extractor
A hydrogen production reactor is a device that produces hydrogen through processes such as steam methane reforming (SMR) and ammonia cracking.
Steam methane reforming is currently used as core equipment in most hydrogen production processes, and it is a technology proven for its high efficiency and scalability.
Ammonia is emerging as a leading hydrogen energy carrier of the future, and ammonia decomposition technology is being evaluated as a core technology that will play an essential role in building next-generation hydrogen supply infrastructure.
Joong-il Materials Inc.’s hydrogen extractor features a structure designed and manufactured in-house, maximizing thermal efficiency by incorporating insulation to minimize external heat loss and reduce burner fuel consumption. It is characterized by maintaining catalytic activity and ensuring reforming stability by improving thermal uniformity in the reaction zone.
The ammonia cracker applies a combustion catalyst-based design transferred from the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), and effectively suppresses NOx that may be generated during the ammonia decomposition process by incorporating a POx (Partial Oxidation) reactor structure.
Based on compact design and high energy efficiency, Joong-il Materials Inc. provides reactor solutions optimized for small and medium-sized hydrogen production systems.
